One of the greatest things about photography to me is capturing moments like that. Technical aspects always help (which are great in this photo by the way), but the real beauty comes in preserving the memory. Great Shot...

Not a hummingbird it looks like some kind of finch. Anyway great shot, how many times did you try before you got this one?

To Mike Moutopoulos - Thanks Mike. It happened that I made just one shot. A sparrow was so hungry that he simply could not release a piece of bread and thus he was in the air for some time.

Excellent for originality. We have hummingbird feeders here at our home and I cannot imagine one of the little birds coming near us, much less eating from a hand and being able to get a shot of it. Aesthetically, shutter speed and depth of field are excellent but too much grain for me. Was this taken with a digital camera?

Great shot -shame the bird is the same colour as the background, although there is nothing you can do about that.
