What I like about this shot is that the background holds alot of interest, yet doesn't take away from the model. I think because of that, it creates a story or relationshiip between two strong elements. I can't say what the story is and even if I were to come up with one, somebody else would see something different anyways. A wonderful shot, which I'm sure took you some time to prepare.

Strange melange of ideas, but it works for me! I keep trying to justify the different scales (measurements) in my head. The crumpled paper is desk top sized and the nude is obviously human scale. My brain doen't know whether to judge her size by the size of the paper, or the paper by her.

Not excellent - good in my opinion!

And please - cut off the writings i²tis a photo isn`t it?

The lighting is very good, but i thin the composition lacks a little stability - are you sure it wasn`t better full frame? I think that the space at the bottom of the picture is very unactive.

Truly excellent Stephen. Well done. If you find some of the comments strange, you should see the surrealistic stuff that I get occasionally ! At least, for once, it's somebody that has something of his own to offer, quite good in fact, though I entirely disagree with the silly comment! By the way, I wonder how Braques, Picasso or Matisse would have reacted to his comments!

I'm being repetitive but I think this is an very good to excelent shot, great composition, illumination, composition, a really well concieved image. By the way I like very much most of your other photos, very strong images, even when you show "soft" subjects

Perfect bg for the job, one can feel the rumpled parchment, it has a certain tactility. I believe the fg is just fine, though understand - to an extent - an earlier comment about its emptiness. I like to think of that as a type of carte blanche, but scrolling down and chopping it out actually doesn't damage the photo (except for clipping the year.)

But my preference is certainly for the bg to hold the written word, and think of the fg as possessing the potential to do so.

Fabulous idea, congratulations on pulling it off.
