My viewing impression, Rebecca, is that the shallow DoF places just the two tips in focus which has the effect of creating eye strain rather than an aesthetic blend. Perhaps bringing the focus point closer to the center might be an option. Otherwise, it's beautiful as all your floral submissions are.

Good point. Sometimes I get carried away trying to find more interesting focal points (the smaller the better) than what would be typical.
