gretel_vanseer 1 Posted October 27, 2002 Nice contrast of the perfectly sharp rocks and the softness of the stream. What was the shutter time you used on this? Link to comment
brian_e 0 Posted October 27, 2002 Gretel - as I recall, I believe this was at f16 or f22, overcast, velvia at 50, polarizer. I believe the shutter speed was somewhere around 1-2 seconds. If we use sunny 16, that'd be 1/60th. 2-3 stops for the polarizer brings it to 1/8th or 1/4th. 2-3 stops for the overcast brings it to 1/2 sec or 2sec. F22 would add another stop, so what I recall would make sense (1-2 sec). I'd say minimum 1/2 sec, max 3 sec. Link to comment
dan_peffer 0 Posted October 29, 2002 Nice composition, really a lovely shot. Might I ask what method of printing or scanning did you use. Link to comment
brian_e 0 Posted October 29, 2002 dan - scanned with Nikon 4000ED, only post-scan adjustment in this case was unsharp mask. Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted October 29, 2002 very nice composition, great use of shutter and I love the the added colour of the leaves on those black rocks Link to comment
vijar 0 Posted October 30, 2002 guy, this is really good work. I like the original work, did you actually go an put those leaves there ?? i think they could have been more focused and bigger, also I'd go ahead and do some digital alterations to it and try to color the water as light red or somethin. by the way, the concept would have been improved upon by putting just one big leaf on the rock and removing others, but overall, good work Link to comment
