seandepuydt 2 Posted November 26, 2008 Justin, is this a neg scan? The tones are nice. What I like the most about this image is the swirling chaos that you have around the rock. I’m very interested in knowing how you would print this. I really like your latest additions. - Sean Link to comment
justinblack 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Hi Sean, and thanks for your kind comments. The new b&w work is a real departure for me – I haven't done it seriously since college back in the early 90s, and I am really enjoying it. After specializing in color for so long, it is nice to get back to the fundamentals of photography. I've been shooting square format Fuji Acros and Neopan, and making quickie Epson flatbed scans to identify candidate negatives that I will eventually want to work with seriously to make fine prints. This is from one of those scans. I'm focusing on building the body of work at the moment, and once I feel I have a critical mass of strong images I'll start printing. Link to comment
Elstad 9 Posted November 27, 2008 I too quite like the lyrical broken light patterns in the water around the rock. Nice to see some surf photography that isn't all hang ten woodie wipeout... Very Fine Indeed! cheers, r Link to comment
