nate_ross 0 Posted October 23, 2002 I like this photo. My first impression was that it was done in a 3d program, that it was not real. I saw a photo similar to this once, that involved a glowstick in a plastic cup full of sprite. I like yours more though. ;) Link to comment
duolian 4 Posted October 25, 2002 I like this a lot. Until I read your explanation, I thought that the concentric lines (what you are referring to as the swirls, I take it) were shadows of ripples on the surface of a clear liquid in the cup, caused by vibrations. (Remember the classic scene in "Jurassic Park" when the surface of the liquid in the cup in the car begins to show those concentric ripples from the vibrations caused by the approaching dinosaur?). So how'd you light this? Is it sitting on a piece of black cloth with a hole cut in it to match the bottom of the cup, resting on a light source below? Link to comment
seven 0 Posted October 25, 2002 The swirls and bubbles are neat, Jeremy. Great light lower half. I think this might have more impact if cropped all the way down to the front - that is : exclude the rear and inside of the cup - think about uploading an alternative to see how it fares against this. Cheers. Link to comment
