love the subject, but the photo has a bit of "snapshot" quality to it. Include the whole tripod or com in a bit closer to the guy, a little creative use of DOF, and you've got a real winner.

Strange, but what did you want to express ?

I was trying to get the point across of how much of a fanatic some of us are. With me it's Astrophotography. I took this quick snap of myself at the start of the longest night of the year Dec21 2001. I was out for 14 hours in 20 deg weather and forgot my warm boots! I got frostbitten but did manage to get 2 good astrophotos! Worth the frostbite!

This is a wonderful picture showing one man's dedication to brave the elements for an experience not many enjoy. Thanks for posting this so we can develop some felt significance to the story behind those wonderful astrophotos.
