godfather 0 Posted November 22, 2008 Thanks Carola. Sense it was a snow blizzard i decided to go with this kind of low contrast image. I actually took it even overexposured at purpose but modified it a little afterwards. It's been a long time that i have catched an image for which i have been satisfied. Thanks for the visit Carola, always appreciated.Ruud: Thanks for commenting, really appreciated. Link to comment
mario2 0 Posted November 25, 2008 After more 10 days without the Internet I find this stunning abstract... It's a beautiful job!, I would like to see other version with more contrast, but due to the snow, the possibilities to leave without detail the image will be real. I can't take snow images yet,but I hope to take some nature abstracts this winter... Best regards Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted November 26, 2008 A wintry wonder. Here, we occasionally have white-out conditions and this captures that experience perfectly. Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Dror & Jeff: Thanks for your time.Mario: I felt that the harder contrast would eat the point from the shadowed areas, because it turns them in to the total blackness. With this less contrast style those few "green" areas are still visible and don't fall in to the darkness. Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted November 29, 2008 Tero; A very successful result you have achieved. I can feel the cold and the snow.... no, wait a minute, I left the door open :-) Just kidding I love this one. We have gotten lots of snow over the last few weeks and I have been shooting up lots of cards. I must get around to processing some of them.I like how the trees, with the exception of that one largest foreground tree, are all in pairs and so well placed through the frame. I bet this looks stunning printed large. Link to comment
godfather 0 Posted November 30, 2008 Thanks Gord. We have also had snow here but couple few days they have almost melted away, not so pretty sight anymore. Temperature is above 0 so it doesn't feel like winter anymore. But maybe it will come again pretty soon, at least i hope so.I took this while i was walking around in the woods with my youngest child. I snapped about five shots from this place and this one was my favourite because this shows the snow also how it flies across the image. The others didn't have this miracle, they were more like those clear images i have used to do. Thanks again for commenting, always appreciated. Link to comment
