Gushing Forth

ian cameron

A wonderful location with a fan shaped falls dropping a little over eight feet into a splash pool. The water is actually quite clear but the low angle sun is of such a low colour temperature the foaming water has turned creamy yellow and the surrounding rocks and trees glow like golden nuggets. I waited until I had the best mix of dappled blue sky and a little light had painted itself over the background hills before taking the shot. NEW!! Photographic workshops and masterclasses at TRANSIENT LIGHT.

I admire how this photograph was taken with the lighting coming from the right and at the back. Though there are shadow areas, it still has acceptable details, imho. The slow water in the fg serves as excellent take off. Great shot, congratulations!
