I'm very glad you happened to be in the United States at what I happen to think will someday be seen as a turning point and defining moment in American history. At least, I hope so. This picture makes me smile. Again.

A document in a document. A moment worth saving - one of those we will alway remember where we were precisely in that moment.

Jeffrey, thanks for expressing your point if view.It is so hard to end conflicts and wars.I hope Obama will be a fresh kind of politician, with a fresh way of thinking.

Laurent, thanks, I for sure prefer the first version and not the second one! ;-)) and I hope this version will prevail !

Sheryl. Thanks for the words of the song, and your wishes. I hope it will be at least a "half full glass".....

Len, thanks, you are right, his politics will influence American life as well as ours around the globe. Lets hope he will have the wisdom to make the right decisions. Not an easy task. I hope we shall be able to smile after the first 4 years...

I am thrilled about the election. I was leaning in another direction last winter. My impressions were this man was too young and he should wait. Then after Iowa he gave a speach that really caught me off guard. I can't remember, in recent times, when I was moved by such a passion. My wife had been a strong Hillary supporter and I made her watch a replay of Mr. Obama and tried to convince her this was what the times really needed. She remained in favor of Hillary and I continued to support Barak. This didn't cause a lot of friction between us and I think it got us to follow the election a bity closer than we might normally have. Anyways, the story behind this is I didn't feel like this guy was ready and I was supporting someone else. He validated my opinion of him when he selected my first choice for his VP. And on the experience issue, this man will bring some dignity to the office and not treat our friends and neighbors as adversaries. The current administration has spent the past eight years turning the executive branch into an imperial fascism. Using patriotism as a call to arms, with the hard line bein "if you're not with us, you're against us", and therefore unpatriotic. Hopefully, we'll move past this era in our history and regard it for what it was, a complete deception by our government. And we can remove ourselves from places where we're not wanted or where we belong, and we can gain faith in our government and our political leaders. But, the scars run deep, Barak might need time and patience. He has my support.
