A great lead in and processing to maintain all those beautiful water tones. I would cut some of the sky to bring the focus more to your foreground subject. Veryu well done, Ian.

Luscious.

The way the short wall of the inlet catches the light makes that curve come alive. Beautiful textural quality to this, both on land and sea. Elegant composition and color work, really elegant. Cropping the sky a bit does give it a boost of perspective. I wouldn't have thought of it myself but worth a try.

Great light emanating from the right side of the frame. There's a delicacy and maturity here. All the elements, light, composition, texture, color, perspective, feeling, come together nicely. It's clean and convincing.

Thank you Fred! You about summed up my thoughts on this too. I am especially honoured that you saw in this " . . . a delicacy and maturity . . .". That is really how I feel about this.

I think one could live with this and not become tired of it -- that is an important and difficult quality. I certainly like this one more personally than the attention it received here.

As for the crop, I think you and Leo are right. It does add to the composition. I felt I'd really miss the blue colour though of the top left -- I think I might have to crop and then push the blue in the remaining sky just a little.
