If a tree falls...

I love this one. I can't exactly say why but I think it's the colors, the atmosphere, no doubt I would hang this one on my wall...

This photo was taken in a marsh in southern Illinois. What do you

think of the composition and colors or any other aspect of the photo?

The reason 800speed film was used is because 1) It was a darker

cloudy day, 2) I was unable to bring my tripod and 3) I was on a

floating walkway that tended to way so a tripod might not have helped.

Let me know hwat you think.

It's an interesting image in that the fallen and rotting tree trunk with all the sprouting life is carrying us into the frame and dividing the green scummy water shape from the clearer sky-reflecting water. The trees in the background are interesting and allude to some mystery in the distance. It even has somewhat of the classic "S" curve going for it. Some of the details are interesting as well. A nice effort with a definite mood.

There is no sound unless a woman is there to say...What was that noise dear... get up and go see...Pleeeeese?.
