It's an absolute artistic statement.The ravens in the background is a different photo or it's part of the studio deco ? Perfect light, not overexposed where it falls on the bright cloth, neither underexposed on the other side.Strictly professional work.Best regards.

I think all your pictures would do better if you used less contrast, especially your beautiful portraits.

 

I suppose the white-out-to-chalk effect on the garment has some mystical or religious significance but it doesn't really work. It looks like she is sitting before a picture of some birds and someone overexposed by using a spot light unevenly
