timesharevon 0 Posted November 16, 2008 I would love to hear from others as to their opinions regarding this photo . . . composition and quality. Link to comment
akinliat 0 Posted November 16, 2008 Compositionally, I'd be tempted to stick them at the bottom of the frame, as far to the left as possible, and then crop out most of the resulting sky (what you have here is enough) to give a panoramic feel. Of course, this would then lead to the same problem you have here in regards to quality -- it looks like the autofocus chose to focus on the bank behind the bears rather than the bears themselves. It's hard to tell for sure from this image -- it could just be artefacting from the resizing. Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted November 17, 2008 I agree with Akin on the choice of focus. There is also an overall gray tone, probably resulting from the camera correcting for the white snow. As far as cropping, I would also want to lower the polar bears, get rid of some of the out of focus foreground and crop some on the top, make it more of a panoramic, so the focus is on the bears. A shame there was no light, a little sun would have helped define the bears as well. Must have been cold. Link to comment
