Guest Guest Posted October 21, 2002 Verna, you outdid yourself! This is amazingly beautiful......The feathers frame her lovely face wonderfully and the choice of B/W is perfect. It looks like my somptuous and evocative Carnival Venice masks .Anna Link to comment

mmmee 0 Posted October 22, 2002 So well done AGAIN. I have only one little quibble - the feathers seem a bit blurred. It must be a studio shot though, so there should not have been any breeze. Why is it that way, or is it me? Did you add motion blurr on purpose? Link to comment
david_eppstein 0 Posted October 22, 2002 I think the black and white helps draw attention to the face, and away from the costume. I like the result, and don't mind the blurred feathers. Link to comment
claude-mtl 0 Posted October 22, 2002 I like the intensity of the eyes. Good range of lighting intensity with the face Link to comment
rob_rokwell 0 Posted October 23, 2002 fantastico! I know tacky word, but it was the first thing that came to mind. Link to comment
manu_vermeiren 0 Posted October 23, 2002 I like this very much. The atmosphere reminds me of the works of the painter and artist Di-Maccio (http://www.di-maccio.com/) who's work I admire. Link to comment
ben_kohl 0 Posted October 23, 2002 Being that you chose to use black and white, the feathers really give the picture depth. Great imagination. Link to comment
mauricio_jos__schwarz 0 Posted October 26, 2002 The whole of the photo suggests it needs the color. Wonder why you chose to turn it into b/w. Works, anyway, but it feels lacking. Link to comment
Brad Bradley 0 Posted October 27, 2002 HI Verna, Wow what a great shot and can Douglas write!! I like that you chose the B & W route for this shot. Anyone can put out color today and if the original doesn't have enough punch then get in there and saturate in photoshop. B &W though is a classic and it can bear out whether or not a shot is good on its own and of course it has that timelessness thing too. I like the expression on the models face, sort of contrary to the mood of the carnival that the mask portrays. I like it. Brad Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2002 Haven't had a chance until now to tell you how magnificent I think this photo is. I think the B&W is great and you have done a wonderful job letting the tones convey the detail of her face and headdress. Just great work. Link to comment

danny_dalal 0 Posted November 6, 2002 I really like the range on this shot, and her expression. Her right eye, though, seems to be heading off somewhere else... a bit unerving to me. But lovely overall. Link to comment
samuel_clemints 0 Posted November 10, 2002 I like this B&W the Best, beautiful feathers. Link to comment
joe_netuser 0 Posted November 21, 2002 The mask frames the face very well good texture any more detail in the feathers might distract from the face. Good Job Link to comment
