Verna, you outdid yourself! This is amazingly beautiful......The feathers frame her lovely face wonderfully and the choice of B/W is perfect.It looks like my somptuous and evocative Carnival Venice masks .Anna

This is a wonderful picture, you never cease to amaze us.

So well done AGAIN. I have only one little quibble - the feathers seem a bit blurred. It must be a studio shot though, so there should not have been any breeze. Why is it that way, or is it me? Did you add motion blurr on purpose?

I work with "hot lights" so yes....keep fans on.

 

I think the black and white helps draw attention to the face, and away from the costume. I like the result, and don't mind the blurred feathers.

I like the intensity of the eyes. Good range of lighting intensity with the face

I like this very much. The atmosphere reminds me of the works of the painter and artist Di-Maccio (http://www.di-maccio.com/) who's work I admire.

Being that you chose to use black and white, the feathers really give the picture depth. Great imagination.

The whole of the photo suggests it needs the color. Wonder why you chose to turn it into b/w. Works, anyway, but it feels lacking.

HI Verna, Wow what a great shot and can Douglas write!! I like that you chose the B & W route for this shot. Anyone can put out color today and if the original doesn't have enough punch then get in there and saturate in photoshop. B &W though is a classic and it can bear out whether or not a shot is good on its own and of course it has that timelessness thing too. I like the expression on the models face, sort of contrary to the mood of the carnival that the mask portrays. I like it. Brad

Haven't had a chance until now to tell you how magnificent I think this photo is. I think the B&W is great and you have done a wonderful job letting the tones convey the detail of her face and headdress. Just great work.

I really like the range on this shot, and her expression. Her right eye, though, seems to be heading off somewhere else... a bit unerving to me. But lovely overall.

The mask frames the face very well good texture any more detail in the feathers might distract from the face. Good Job
