Ha Ha! I did the best I could shooting at 2,000mm!

At a distance of 11 million light years it's not toooooo bad! I could have done better though. This on's on my re-shoot list. 2 of my exposures got inturupted by passing clouds! Plus I got a mild case of frost bite taking these 3 exposures that night!

Very nice photo. It´s good to see people going through great pains (or frostbite) to take real photographs, instead of just using PS. This is one of the shots that makes me lust for a telescope...

Nelson,

Get one! but if you ever plan on hooking a camera up to it don't skimp on price! Otherwise you will go away frustrated with no photos to show for it. It took me over a year of trying before I got my first suscessful astrophoto.

Well, it doesn't obey the rule of thirds....but we'll make an exception this time...ha ha. Very nice shot. Your hard work to get this photo is appreciated. Agree with Nelson in that its nice to see some shots of this nature that aren't cut-and-paste Photoshop jobs. Cool stuff.

All these zoom lenses have been making us lazy. If you can't zoom in any more, then why not get closer to the subject??!! Use those legs of yours.

Still, this is a brilliant picture.
