soniam 6 Posted November 9, 2008 Face painting took about an hour - It was my first time but she was very patient with me. This photo was taken outside under cloudy skies. Please let me know what you think and how to improve. Thank you for your time and comments. Link to comment

tmcleland 0 Posted November 10, 2008 I think its stunning. Wouldn't change a thing! I think that black and white was a particularly good choice here. Link to comment

soniam 6 Posted November 12, 2008 Thank you all for your feedback. I think this is my favorite of all. Perhaps I should have left it in colour? Thanks again for sharing your thoughts Link to comment
corkman 0 Posted November 14, 2008 Hauntingly beautiful Sonia. Haven't seen the color, but I suspect your instinct to go black and white was the right one. Regards, Bill. Link to comment

diego bardone 0 Posted November 28, 2008 Ciao Sonia, this is the one I like more, love the look in her eyes and the BW tones. Amazing work. Take care, Diego P.S. I agree with you ;-) Link to comment
stamos 1 Posted November 30, 2008 Original view in portrait photography. Well done! Regards, Stamoulis. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted December 2, 2008 Let me first say I like the color version better, Sonia. The b/w appears to be red channel biased which makes her skin a bit too bright (as viewed on my screen). It'd be beautiful enough without her face painted, but with it painted, just adds to an already beautiful picture. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted December 2, 2008 Thank you Diego, Stamoulis and Michael. I realize that her skin is much brighter than it would normally be but I think I prefer the dramatic B&W contrasts. Thank you all for stopping by and sharing your thoughts. Link to comment
John Peri 1,039 Posted December 3, 2008 Yes, it works very well in black and white, but the colour version is particularly well framed also .. Link to comment

charlieboy007 0 Posted February 18, 2009 Sonia this image attracts my eyes....love the black and white tones here, I prefer the B&W then the colour version...this is more powerful....congrats Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 18, 2009 Awesome shot!! I really don't know which one I like better! I guess I like them both - the B&W for the mystique and the colour version for her rich complexion and the detail of the face paint!! Amazing job!! Best regards, Vamsi Krishna Link to comment
Alex 0 Posted February 19, 2009 I must say I like both color and black and white. I think this is one outstanding picture. My regards for your great job doing the painting and capturing such a great portrait. If you don't ming a humble opinion the only thing I'd touch up is the couples of hairs on her neck a (mainly the 2 loop one) they distract a bit. Regards, Alex Link to comment
