Oh my goodness! Dave, do I dare ask if these creatures are real, alive, or dead? If you have a foolproof way of capturing moles, let me know, I seem to have one that loves tunneling through my backyard. :) I think this is a VERY interesting mixture of subjects, light and textures. At first I thought the glass was an odd choice, but upon a little thought, it is actually a great fit, it brings light, shine, and additional texture to an otherwise completely natural scene. I like the lighting here too, very subtle, yet highlights in a way to make the viewer really look all around the image. Here I go rambling. Have been recovering from elbow surgery to repair torn tendon, and have just now gotten past 1 hand typing. Oh, local art critic LOVES my first exhibition, got a lot of ink in the paper today--very excititng. Take care.....regards....LJ

love it...i was clicking quickly through pictures...glanced at this, went to the next, thought 'that seems to have been a mole'....*was that a mole!?*...and sure enough...I love it. Only I'd get rid of the black thing impinging on the left (bottom third) of the frame. Brilliant.

Thank you all Marco, Pep, Rueda, Lesa, Rachel...Thank you all very much!

Rueda, grazie

Lesa, thanks for all your comments! I'm glad your show went well, thats inspirational! And yes, all creatures are dead. The mole for some reason decided to expire in my garage. And the crickets all tend to croak around this time every year, when the first frost comes around.

Rachel thank you very much for all your enthusiasm! The black thing you mention is a tear in the paper.

This caught my attention as a new direction for you Dave. I would be interested to see this series play out. The lighting is playing tricks with our reality.

Thx very much Kent and Cris!

Kent -- you've picked up on my lighting tricks! Yes I monkeyed around with the lighting to bring out certain aspects of the shot and help the composition. Glad you noticed!

Stay tuned for more.
