But because of lack of shadow detail, he comes across as a harder man than he is. If you whitened the scleras of his eyes and brightened the catch lights as well as opened up the shadow side of his face, you would portray more warmth in his person.

Sizin yerleştirdiğiniz fotoğrafı daha çok sevdim. Detaylar mükemmel. Steve'in yerleştirdiğinde burunda ve yanakta patlamalar var.. Detaylar kaybolmuş.. Işık ve netlik harika, eksiksiz. Özellikle gözündeki derinlik çok hoş.. Ellerinize sağlık.. Selamlar.. 7/7

Dear Pierre, Armando, El and Oskar. Thank you very much for your participation.

Erkan, tabii ki iş modelde bitiyor :). Çok sağol.

Üstad, modelliğin için asıl ben teşekkür ederim.

Zülfü Bey, çok teşekkürler, beğendiğine sevindim. Biliyorsun, pek portre çekmiyorum, ama sevmeye başladım :).

And Steve. Special thanks for the time that you spent for my work. I saw your amazing portfolio, and still, I'm continuing to examining it. I think that your second work is better than the first version. I saw these three works on three different monitors and every photos were different :). In my opinion, there are variations between our monitors and probably your monitor is calibrated. Thank you again.

Thank you, Yalçın, for your kind comments.

Yes, my monitor is calibrated. I got frustrated with not being able to see consistent results, so I invested in a Spyder.

Americans like me can be so ignorant sometimes. I have no clue what language you are speaking with so many of your compatriots. Could you tell me so I might find a way to translate?

Sometimes I feel like America is a well-intentioned but clumsy giant. We step in places where we try to help but cause too much pain and grief. I am trying to understand those who have a different point of view, and maybe even those who may be angry with America so that I can help become a better world citizen. I can't help but believe that photo.net contributes to better understanding of each other through the art of photography.

I'll try to translate briefly their opinion. They saw just the first version of your works and, in general, they liked the original version like Pierre. I wrote in my language what I wrote to you. The major point here, is the monitor. I saw that a photo can change dramatically on different monitors. We are here for learning and sharing. And I'm very happy that other photographers speak and make comments about my photo. Thank you again.

And finally, one of them, is my model :) (Ahmet Akın).

Yalcin, my keyboard cannot write Turkish :) I offer you more compliments from Steve's "clumsy giant" of ABD :) Kandene iyi bak, arkadash! -Kurt
