Seriously, though, this is fabulous macro shot. Color, detail and clairity are outstanding. But that "expression" to quote previous poster is uncanny.

Wow! Ususally macros don't interest me much, but this is just fantastic--such great clarity and color. And the mantis has such a surreal, alien appearance with the big shiny black eyes and spiky legs. Very nice!

I really can't figure out what insect it is. (This would tell you how much I enjoyed your picture, when actually concentrating to find out what kind of bug this is...)

excellent, very interesting indeed, but to be honest i do not like the background, too artificial to my taste. It kills a bit the subject

She must've been watching you moving around, huh? I've had several pet mantis and I've noticed they track you around the room. She's beautiful!
