geu4king 2 Posted November 5, 2008 This is a view of the Cog Railroad, beginning its colorful, autumn ascent to the Summit of MT. Washington (Elevation 6,288ft, 2nd highest elevation in North America along the Atlantic Ocean). The Cog RR, started operations in 1869 and continues to this day. The locomotives are steam powered and operate on a special track, allowing the steep climb up and down the mountain. Link to comment
