joseph_pugliese 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Looking for your honesty. Let me have it. How would you have done this differently ? Link to comment
karen rexrode 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Spider webs are much harder than they look. Depth of field, slight breeze, all against you. I have found that a shallow depth of field combined with out of focus (go manual) will throw the drops out of focus but bring out the specular highlights from the sun, really go macro. Forget about the spider, or just concentrate on it and forget about the drops. With this kind of macro, its usually near impossible to get the spider in focus from front to back anyway. I also like to put objects under or behind the web for additional color, see my folder. There are usually a few wildflowers around. My focus in this case, trying to get as much in focus as possible, would have been in 1/3 from the bottom, but I doubt you would have been happy with the results. Karen Link to comment
