LenMarriott 9 Posted October 29, 2008 Koushik, One of the benefits of these Point & Shoot cameras, they open up the world of macro previously reserved for expensive specialty cameras & lens. This one very nicely shows off the water droplets, your camera position placing many against a dark background which only enhances them. This should only encourage you to further explorations. Keep posting. Best, LM. Link to comment

daily_photograph 0 Posted October 29, 2008 Your macros are not simply near, but close. Thats the secret of success! Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted October 30, 2008 Len, thank you for the support and encouragement, the price i paid for positioning the camera this way was a battalion of mosquitos feasting on me as i had to enter a bush :-) El, thank you for the appreciation and support. Daily, I am elated by your comment. Oskar, thank you for the appreciation and support. -koushik Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted November 8, 2008 Great shot - I might have added a bit of selective contrast to the flower portion - still a very nice image. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 8, 2008 You have a wonderful eye for the abstract possibilities presented by the worls around you. My only technical (minor) criticism is I would have preferred a bit more sharpness in the water droplets. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted November 10, 2008 Tony, Jack, thank you for your kind words. I agree with the criticism of both of you. I am afraid, Tony, that I do not have the expertize to go for selective modifications. So I usually go for over-all changes of contrast, saturation etc. when I think that's needed. As for Jack's comment, yes, this is a drawback of these p&s cameras. -koushik Link to comment
