axelg 3 Posted November 4, 2008 Kent, thank you for your nice comment. Although I had seen this place hundreds of times on pictures, my pleasure and amazement were absolutely intact when I got there. Same feeling I had when I saw Monument Valley in Utah... that same impression of watching one of nature's 7 wonders. Link to comment
sallycd 0 Posted December 3, 2008 Hello Axel !... what is "sossusvlei" ? The backdrop... are these sand dunes?Looked likea flag or a prop of a kind. Perspective is good. Sally Link to comment
axelg 3 Posted December 22, 2008 Hi Sally! Thank you for your comments on my Namibia photo series. Sossusvlei is a place in the middle of the Namib Desert where a (now mostly dry) river opened a kind of valley through the dunes, hence allowing access into the heart of the desert. Sand dunes over there are said to be the highest in the world, one of them is nearing 300 meters actually. Link to comment
papasan 0 Posted December 14, 2009 This is a wonderful composition. I love the contrasting triangles in the upper part and how you anchored the scene with the lone tree in the lower right nodal point. This is an outstanding photo. my only nit would be that i would have liked to see a bit more contrast and definition in the lower area. BUT this is really minor, i'm giving you a 7/7 on this. Great work. Regards - michel Link to comment
