cees1 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Tried my new Konica Hexar in a nude shoot. What do you think? Link to comment
eric rose 0 Posted October 27, 2008 I think she should have been looking up with her head back. What camera you use really doesn't matter, it's the execution that matters. Beyond that the "in your face" mood you wanted her to created was done well. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted January 25, 2009 well, first of all you've got yourself a great camera which will last you a lifetime. About your photo then. Creatively speaking I like what you did here. Her relaxed pose is very good while her gaze is just wonderfull and totally appropiate looking at you as an intruder. I do like the lamp which gives it an almost dated feel (which is probably why you didn't do this in cool b&w (which I would have preferred btw). It's in many ways a striking portrait because it's anything but a glamour shot, it looks very natural which is not only due to the domestic environment but also to your lighting and from that it derives it's attraction. Some will not like that you left that electric cable so blatantly obvious in the photo but I actually like it for it's real-life feel. Technically though it's flawed. You've kept it too light with not enough contrast. More disturbing though is the noise, because that's no grain but downright noise. Also using a less powerfull bulb in that lamp would be a improvement because part of her torso borders on being blown-out. Most of this is easily corrected though. All in all a very good result. She must be proud of you. groeten, Ton Link to comment
ray . 58 Posted July 2, 2011 It's an interesting, enigmatic photo. I think the criticisms are entirely subjective. And it looks technically fine to me.. Link to comment
