bentes_world 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Nice work with the flow of the water and compared with the colors it makes a great picture. From Norway? Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted October 24, 2008 It all works for me. The orangey red tree is perfectly positioned to bring the eye through the image. Did you try different speeds? I suspect that it may have been stronger if the FG water showed a little more texture. I know this sounds bizarre from me but I think that it would work here. Link to comment

atle.g 0 Posted October 24, 2008 Thanks for the comments folks! Bente..yes from norway..it is taken in the neigbour munchipality, 5 minutes walk from the road. Erdal is name of this area. Jeff..yes i have taken several shots of this. With the other one.. similar to this in this folder....i made a mistake, I forgot the ISO value from the previous day. where i shot some night photos at 250, so i had to go back...in fact i came back 4 days in a row:-) I had some rain and wind problems too. I belive there might be shots with more water texture..but unfortunatly lesser overall lightning quality if i recall correctly...i shall have a look. Link to comment
paolo de faveri 1 Posted October 24, 2008 Wonderful picture Atle. I particularly love how the rock in the foreground and the stream are catching the light, and also the crisp details throughout the frame. Maybe a tad more of saturation on the greens of the trees wouldn't hurt. Cheers, Paolo Link to comment
krislafond 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Atle, Nice photo. It has a soft pleasent feel. Good use of your technique. Speaking of technique, It would be nice if you displayed more of your details, it really helps with providing a critique, ie; ND grad used, exposure time, f-stop, etc; Nice job! Kris. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted October 26, 2008 Hello Chris!..apologize for not providing tech details...i usually do. F29 5 sec. ISO 100 @32mm, equal to 48mm on this camera. I do belive i used my Lee .9 GND filter wich is big (10by15cm) and can be used as a ND filter...i might have used the .6 GND too....since the time shows 15:42. I probably put the .6 Grad upside down.
