pfranklin 0 Posted March 3, 2009 Ahhhh…my friend, another much appreciated compliment! There is a long story as to how I came to this shoot and some of it is pretty funny. I was alone and recovering from knee surgery, leg brace, cane and hiking on a day where the temperature exceeded 110. The John Day Fossil Beds are located in Central Oregon…about 500 or so miles from where I live. This is just one of four units covering a few hundred miles. Millions of years of history in this awesome place. I do hope that you will see it someday! Warm regards, Pamela Link to comment

jonsjons 0 Posted October 1, 2010 Hi Pamela, I think this is gorgeous. I imagine it was hard to visualize this composition when surrounded by these rock formations, but you have done a great job. Link to comment

Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted December 12, 2010 This is one of many exquisite images in your portfolio. I really enjoyed looking over your work. The composition, lighting, circular bands, and consistent color make this a work of art. Ditto for your other Painted Hills images. I am glad I discovered your portfolio and look forward to seeing more. Thanks, Pam. Link to comment
