krislafond 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Thomas, I really like your perspective on your shot. Just great, I love the distortion, no matter what anybody says. It is just cool. I have a couple of personal observations I'd like to share. I like the dept of your sky, but, I would prefer it to be light at the top. I have a feeling that may have been done by a polarizer(?). If not, and you used a gradient, I'd prefer it lighter. Additionally, it is a little under exposed for my taste. Along with the exposure I'd add a scoach of saturation. By and large, just a really nice capture. Kris. Link to comment
thomasmckown 0 Posted October 25, 2008 Thanks Kris, I am always very happy to receive a critique, it is always so helpful yet so many people seem afraid to offer one. :P I did use a polarizer and that is the reason for the dark sky. I actually have not calibrated my monitor and people have been telling me lately that my shots are looking dark. I suspect I may need to adjust it very soon as it seems to be getting worse. Ill also keep in mind to boost the saturation more in the future. My screen shows very vivid colors compared to most. Anyway, thank you so much for your input, it is very much appreciated! This will give me a few things to improve on this shot. Link to comment
