corkman 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Thank you all for your generous comments and ratings. I'm rather proud of this because it was done the hard way, hand-held outdoors with exterior lighting on the translucent base of the morning glory courtesy of the sun. Some photoshopping, but limited to minor tweaks, mostly in levels and a touch of sharpening to enhance the texture. Thank you all again. Regards, Bill. Link to comment

gi11 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Beautiful work William. You have captured all the natural glow that always springs out from the centre of the morning glory. The yellow light changes in silver on the shining texture of the flower. I love it! Link to comment
dloringphotos 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Lighting and texture are perfect. Fantastic photo. Curious - natural or artificial light? Shot indoors or outdoors? Regards, David Link to comment
corkman 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Thank you all again. David - shot outdoors, early sun still low so it is natural light filtered through the almost translucent white base of the bloom as Giuseppe mentioned. Got as tight as possible with a macro lens to eliminate any background. Because the Morning Glory is so common it's often overlooked by photographers, myself included. But when I took a closer look I found a treasure there. Regards, Bill Link to comment
