a.turhan 0 Posted October 19, 2008 Very original perspective. If only the building on the right side were not there! Congrats... Link to comment
httpwww.photo.netphotos1664881653 0 Posted October 22, 2008 A beautiful image. I was there in 1990. My band was touring Alaska and I took off for a day with a local and this was one of our stops. Thanks for the tug at my memory., Allen Link to comment
jenkins 0 Posted October 22, 2008 Really nice picture Pixie, great warmth, i think i might have cropped that house out in the background? Link to comment
pix_ie 0 Posted October 22, 2008 i know the house in the background is a bit disturbing but to cut away the house means to cut the wooden pavement in front and that would be pitty for me. thx Link to comment
jenkins 0 Posted October 22, 2008 No House Pixie, hope you don't mind, you have a creative portfolio, very interesting. S.J http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k223/gorringeman/8043403-md.jpg Link to comment
pix_ie 0 Posted October 23, 2008 I am not upset but the main rule in street, travel and press photography is not to do any retouche, even not a very tiny detail. The fact is: You hook the truth. What i do is showing the truth and the reality. I have my ideals and honestly said i dismiss photographers who hook their pictures to bring them to a "perfectness". This is what 3 years of press work and journalism teached me. Nevertheless, thanks for your input. I hope YOU don't mind now :) Link to comment
jenkins 0 Posted October 25, 2008 I never mind Pixie, we all see things differently, there is no wrong or right, just thought that house was annoying you from your comment so i tried to help. :) Link to comment
jim p 0 Posted November 17, 2008 I agree with you about the house, photojournalism literally is what it is. I really like the composition and colors, well done image. My only suggestion might be to narrow the dof some, thus throwing the house in back out of focus. But hey, its good the way it is, too because the lantern grabs so much attention! Link to comment
