joan_s. 0 Posted October 16, 2008 I'm just starting to use the manual modes on my camera - any advice to improve my low light pics with the equipment I have (Kodak Easyshare Z650 and tripod) is more than welcome :) ! Thanks. Link to comment
Lacerda 1 Posted October 16, 2008 beautiful image this one. about the low light , what you can do is to decrease the shutter speed, or increase the ISO, try it with ISO 200. best regards. Link to comment
joan_s. 0 Posted October 17, 2008 Thanks - I must be doing something wrong because the only way I can seem to get semi-decent pics in the evening is by using ISO 100 f3,2 and 1 sec exposure, which doesn't seem to correspond to any advice given by manuals lol! I can't seem to find the correct settings to make the higher ISOs work.... What would you advise? Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted November 11, 2008 Myriam, I came to visit after seeing this picture in the NoWords forum. Very nicely exposed for a compact camera with feature-limitations. Your Kodak may have constraints on settings which may not allow full manual control. For example, it may override other settings automatically if you select higher ISO - you'll have to consult with your owner's manual. It would also be helpful if you can post a sample image that you're after. Everyone would have a different reference for what they would consider low light, for example. Link to comment
joan_s. 0 Posted November 11, 2008 Thanks a lot Michael! You're right, it does overide my other settings if I set the higher ISO.... Link to comment
