mrossi 0 Posted October 20, 2008 This shot required gaining the trust of the Heron. I crept ever so slowly, stopping for a few minutes and taking a few shots before moving a few feet further. The bird was behind some reeds that were moving, so I used a longer shutter speed to eliminate their movement. Thanks for looking. Canon 100-400L/IS. Link to comment
richard_cox2 0 Posted October 20, 2008 Do you mean "fast shutter speed"? Really clear shot considering you were shooting through grass. Nice detail and lighting. Link to comment
mrossi 0 Posted October 21, 2008 Sorry, didn't explain that well. There were reeds moving in front of the heron despite getting as close as I could. So, I used a long shutter speed to blur them as the wind kept moving them around, and voila, they disappeared. Link to comment
