This is such a powerful photo. The expressions in the faces yes, but the lines too. The line traced by the sidewalk and the fence mirrors the angle taken by the girl's head. The mother's arm, linked to the girl's, takes us back to the fence and creates a a trapezoid that keeps the eye focused on the dramatic center. This is a stunning photo. The unhappy child, the determined mother, the similarity in dress and features give this photo a chilling aspect.

I like the facial expression, pose, in your powerful well composed image. Also I like the dof with wall graduately disappearing to infinity.
