macartney 0 Posted October 11, 2008 Nice shot. HDR? The only thing that threw me off was the sand in the lower left. It seems a little too light? Link to comment
david_chamberlain3 0 Posted October 11, 2008 Not HDR Jack, a straight B/W coversion with dodging and burning.Anyone have any ideas on how this could be improved? Thanks for the input Jack. Link to comment
PVS 1 Posted October 11, 2008 Nice shot david. its hard to improve but try to boost black in your RAW conversion and pop up your exposure till you find the right combination. A black frame would also do allot i think. But he..its nice allready. thanks peter Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted October 12, 2008 I think it is already beautiful. I have played with curves (making the darks a bit darker) and I have applied a highpass filter with a small radius. The image became more contrasty after these but I am not sure if it has become better. Regards, Link to comment
davidspeight 0 Posted October 12, 2008 Very dramatic, i think the contrast is great as is, any more would be too much and you would risk burning out the highlights. Love the composition also, lovely shot David. Link to comment
