Colorful Fall Scene - Longueuil QC

A wonderful representation of Fall.

 

Tony... Since this image is getting increased viewing, I’ve edited my earlier dialogs to eliminate the duplicate image I made. My earlier observation that the branch behind the red leaves pulls the eye away remains, but let me note that it does not detract enough to keep this from being a capture of an ensemble of beautiful red leaves singing of a glorious Fall and all the color behind acting as accompaniment. Firstly - thanks for your comment and I implore you to never hesitate in offering constructive or other comments on any of my images which, like you, I take very seriously. I totally agree with your comment and it is something I I thought about when I loaded this image. On the middle and left portion, one can see some 'yellow'. I adjusted my camera position and got a cleaner but more yellow background and what you see inline is what I had uploaded last night to the critique forum. After 5 anon raters had it pegged as a 3.75 avg ( a couple of 3/3, etc) without any comments, I decided to delete it. I thought it was the better image precisely because of what you mentioned. However there are some days like that on PN and sadly one has to expect that.

Thanks for the update - in fact I worked on it and was planning on loading it at a later date. I really do want to spend more time this month capturing images and tomorrow I get up at 4:30 in the morning and head North to Rawdon and Mount Tremblant hoping to catch a fleeting moment or a brillant scene. Presently it is raining but that will not dampen my enthusiasm for my trip tomorrow - perhaps it will provide a photo opportunity. Thanks again for the attention and support.

I love the color the shapes and the mood of fall in an image - just beautiful ! We had about a week of fall then we had snow! Earliest snow in our area in some time so every leaf is frozen and looks ugly I do hope to find some to shoot for fall color.

Thanks - we are into some beautiful fall weather but high winds and rain later today might bring it to an end quickly. Have been doing some shots over the last few days including early this morning.
