ilia 0 Posted November 6, 2002 Just another example of futile exercise in 14mm panning...I've been trying to get back into street photography lately, so don't be too hard on my "experimental" ;) "MTA alternatives or City on the move" folder.I would also appreciate your thoughts and comments on the rest of my photos in "Scenics" and "Portraits of family and friends" sections. liz_hillock 0 Posted November 6, 2002 I think this shot is fantastic! How did you get the cab in focus and then everything else blurred? Really effective and the colours are cool Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted November 6, 2002 That's a weird effect you'd get trying to pan with 14mm lens. Objects moving at constant velocity in "real world" move with different speed within a "14mm frame", depending on how close they are to the center. Link to comment
the pantsmaster 0 Posted November 7, 2002 Very cool idea and great execution. I like this a lot, and you really get the sense of motion, the cab racing through the city. I like the effect of panning with such a wide lens. The rest of your "city on the move" folder is pretty interesting too. Link to comment
toshio 8 Posted November 8, 2002 I like it! It conveys the feeling of the big city life althoug the cab itself is not a very interesting subject. You did nice panning. Only thing that bothers me is too much of the white lights of the neon. Link to comment
