Face of the Spirit

This sawdust and iron sculpture of an African Drummer is the creation

of Rhode Bath-Scheba Makoumbou, perhaps the finest sculptor in

republic of Congo. Often described as GAZELLE OF BRAZZAVILLE,

Bath-Scheba has a unique vision and a consistent evolution of her art.

This photograph was taken at her home/ studio. She has exhibited in
