Stormy Ocean

seungkyelee

- As the weather forecasted the first autumn stormat the southern norwegian coast, I headed to Slagentangen (round stone beach on south coast) where the waves hit the multicolored, roundshaped rocks.Due to high waves and strong wind the whole beach was covered with a fog of seaspray and the setting sun only became visible in short moments. The wave that I captured here was the one that caught me surprised and leaving me and my camera dripping with seawater. The gnd filter that I used for this light was so salty that it wouldn`t come clean after several attempts. That, and the natural seafog creeping in, made the rest of the images have an effect like diffusing filter.Anyway, it was a great evening with rolling waves and strong wind.- Fine art prints: www.leeseungkye.com

First autumn storms hit the southern coast of Norway.

This surprisingly high wave left me soaked, but happy anyways.

Thankful for comments on this!

I'm thrilled by the bottom 2/3 of the image, the sea movement and the colors of rocks are excellent. It deserves a bit stronger sky... ;-)
