RickDB 10 Posted October 4, 2008 For Milena, who challenged me to take an upright picture of the whole west facade of St. Vitus' Cathedral in the extremely confined space available. It took 11 shots, but it does work! Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted October 5, 2008 Hats off! Excellent work, who does not know how things are there he cannot appreciate it fully :-) In this picture, it seems that there is much space in front of the entrance - but it is not in fact. You say 11 shots ... ufff. But the result is worth it. Thanks for taking the challenge and for sharing your capture. Warm regards Link to comment
RickDB 10 Posted October 6, 2008 Hi Milena, Pawel and Grazyna - after merging the 11 pics together I had a 390mb file which need quite a lot of perspective manipulations to get into shape - after all that I could still clearly see the squares in the wire mesh, used to keep the birds off, all the way up to the top of the spires! I looked at several guide books and postcards and could not find one image that was upright and included the whole west facade, but I would still be very surpirsed if this was the first... Best regards, RickDB Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted October 6, 2008 I would tend to believe it is the first ... I am proud I challenged you to do this. Cheers! Link to comment

RickDB 10 Posted October 9, 2008 ...A tight spot to capture the whole facade - probably only about 10m! If you think this is detailed, you should see the final pano - detail attached showing window above rose window - you can count the chicken wire squares! Cheers! RickDB Link to comment
