yves_p 0 Posted October 6, 2008 Beautiful (almost) immaculate rubbish plant. Nature is beautiful. Your comments are most welcome. Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted October 6, 2008 Hedge Bindweed, we call it. Nice delicate shot. I have one somewhere... Could be good in b/w! Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted October 7, 2008 Thanks for your comments. Yes, it is beautiful in BW. No, it is not a hedge blindweed but Datura meteloides (you can see the typical spiny fruits on the left of the flower). This highly toxic plant if from the potato family. Thank-you for your interest. I have visited your portfolio and like it very much, especially the very lively portraits and the flowers. Cheers, Yves. Link to comment
lex_photo 0 Posted October 9, 2008 I like your colored version. Only thing I would change, and this is nitpicking is I would try to get the bottom little sliver of the flower in the frame. other wise, very cool, nice angle on the flower as well. Thanks for sharing - Lex Link to comment
Elstad 9 Posted October 28, 2008 Lovely Floral Image Yves! Here we have these growing on the side of the roads. (The plant is known localy as jimson weed.) They have a symbiotic relationship with the Hawk Moth that can have a proboscus of up to a foot long and that easily reaches into the flower. It's relationship is symbiotic in that the flower is narcotic and the moth is addicted... It may be true that there are no coincindences... Cheers, Raymond Link to comment
