A very nice picure. This photo makes a powerful statement in my mind. The contrast in appearence between the native and the tourist spectators is strong, not just physically but perhaps at a far deeper level.

Tony, this is great. Almost like two pictures in one, but then the two parts are totally inter-connected.

Your pictures are not poor imitations of Cartier-Bresson, but a development in the vein of what some of us recognise as good photography. It is indeed inspiring, as Michael suggests, to know that there are people such as you who can appreciate the art in life and show us that the best subject matter is real and alive.

How do you format the pictures to look like postcards?

I completely agree with the two postings above. My impression of this image mirrors what has already been said.

IMHO, I simply cant believe the low ratings this picture has recieved Asthetics 6.41 and Originality 6.55 .... come on! I've seen pictures on photo.net that looked as if they were accidental shots taken from a camera hanging from a tourist's belley that received ratings similar to these.

This is an extraordinary shot and deserves better ratings.

Fantastic - I think it captures the mood of modern society turning their backs on tradition !

Well exposed and composed - great work !

Love it.

Using a physical "wall" to contrast two phenomenally different cultures.... excellent shot....

I love your folders as well...

Thanks so much for sharing

on a side note..... 1-1 raters are starting to get on my nerves

As an Aussie, the fact that the white fellas have their backs to the wall facing away, and pay no attention to the aborigine with his head hanging low is a whole BIG story.

GREAT work. Go Aussie...
