Red

Very nice, I like it a lot. The shadow on the right side of her face almost brings a power to it. The red lines around her eyes either needs to have the shadow lifted from there so you can see it. Or you might ask yourself how important the red lines are to her makeup? Again thank you for sharing.

Great expression, great lighting. Am I wrong thinking that her eyes should/could have been sharper to make it even better?

Your right....she had her contacts on and that would be the reason they dulled the eyes a bit...

 

It reminds me one of those sad masks at the carnival in Venice. Great job, lighting, make up, expression of the model and the right moment to capture all this.

Verna by now your pictures are like a signature and I recognize your style in the splendid lighting. Elegant and very nice balance of colors. The background was well chosen. I wouldn't have seen the contacts "problem" without you mentioning it.

With verna's permission, here's a modification to the eyes. ;) Just made the eyes a bit more bright. And tryed to make them look like natural eyes instead of colored contacts ;)

No part of this image is sharp. So contacts or no contacts the eyes are going to be soft. The thumb isn't bad but i honestly don't know what the raters are thinking. The double 3's are also unnecessary, but that is what happens when you get 7's for an above average image. No need to revenge rate, I won't rate or comment on your images again. This is why photo.net will never be as good as it could be.

I like the concept, but find several items IMO that could improve the image. I think it is a tad to soft. I also find her nose to be a bit hot on the left side. The triangular shaped shadow on the right side also is a bit bothersome. Other than that I do like the concept of the image.

As we have come to expect! Nicely done, composition spot on and just enough colour.

I love the way you manage light and shadow in your photos and this is no exception. The way the shadows dance around the red on her lips and her left eye is wonderful. Excellent work.

Another great shot! Bright colors, Sad eyes, wonderful light and contrast. Superb! The only thing keeping this from being a 7/7 IMO is a little more light around the left eye (enough to bring out the design there. JMO Dave

Nice. Very theatrical. The only nitpick I have is the slight hotspots on the left side of the face, especially on the nose and left cheek.

I like the contrast of whiteface and red. I like the composition, the expression. It looks a tad over-exposed here on photo.net, and I would have brought the lighting a closer to the camera to let the colors do their magic. But an excelent, eye-grabbing shot.
