Today is Gandhi Jayanthi. People of India celebrating the 140th birth

anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This a statue of Mahatma Gandhi at

Mussouri Hills in India. In the face of increasing terrorism through

out the world, it is once more the time to remember his message of

NON-VIOLENCE'.

Long may this man's life and message be remembered!

Sonali, I just have a small comment to make which could be entirely irrelevant, but this is what came to my mind immediately, and that is I wished the frame could be rotated slightly to the left so that man was upright, and not seemingly leaning backwards). It is a subtle and very small change but could make a difference to your and the scupture's interpretation.

Also, if this was done in a landscape frame, MG could be placed like a third on the right and then we would have him leaning forwards, the stick would provide an interesting diagonal, and there would be that comfortable space in front of him...to look and move into.....

best wishes ~ mike

Thank you for your comments on my photo of the Omaha house.

I am privileged to have seen your photograph of the Mahatma's statue. Indeed, he was a great soul. And your photograph beautifully captures his face, his hearrt and his soul. He transformed our world forever, and your photograph so keenly reminds us of his message.

"May I be the change I wish to see in the world."

My best wishes,

michael

Sonali, thanks for your comment on my photo: Securing the gear. As for your photo of the Mahatma it looks as though he is alive. His messianic life and message should be a model for humanity but unfortunately we have not matured enough yet. Maybe one day we will. Best regards, Dimitris.

Sonali, Truely the Great Soul of the 20th century. A bit unusual but I was only 4 or 5 years old when he was lost to the world but my mother impressed upon me that he was a very great man, and I never forgot....I'm now 65.......Jim
