david_eppstein 0 Posted October 11, 2002 I think I like this better than the other less-abstract version: that one feels to me like a typical glossy close-up of a common household object, it could be anything, it just happens to be a keyboard. It took me more work to read this version, which led me to think about what it is about the pattern that makes it an octave, so I think the effort was worthwhile. Link to comment
niranjn 0 Posted October 13, 2002 Works well. I like the lighting and the composition. It has excellent balance, and I like that you have more of the longer elements showing on the left than the shorter elements on the right. I would prefer a touch more DOF. Link to comment
root 0 Posted October 13, 2002 I listed F4 to indicate max aperture. That makes the top as blurry and as abstract as I can make it with this set up. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 1, 2002 I like this a lot, but I think its been pushed to the point where you lose an understanding of the object. IMHO, it been pushed into the realm of lines of light and shadow without something to structure my understanding of what I am looking at. I think that Colorful Keyboard is far more powerful. However this is still very good as a study of tonality. I prefer Colorful Keyboard but think this is still very good. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 1, 2003 a little bit less aesthetics than the other similar one but a little bit more original (dof and angle i assume) IMHO. Link to comment
