I like the composition and the idea of the sister caring for her younger sibling. But the film choice(Velvia) creates a mood that is not to be expected in real life for this kind of situation. Too saturated, and not literal enough. I would expect that a more literal rendetion of this scene, which reveals more life like details would convey much more of the sorrow or helplessness.

The shallow DOF really draws attention to the subjects' expressions, which convey innocence and desolation sadly intermingled. Congratulations on capturing this very touching scene.

Great colors and light. But most of all I like her expression and the pose of the baby. This really tells a story, good work.

A very powerful image. This young lady doesn't look much more than 6 or 7, and yet she carries this baby with such grace & ease. I especially love the placement of her hands. Very nice.

...eyes are the gateway to the soul. Great capture of this scene. I am moved and something unknown stirs in my soul. The little girls eyes are deep and tell a long story compared to her short years. I leave this one wondering what that story is and how it may end.

This picture seems so sad..but there also seems to be a great deal of love within it... the clothing and jewlery suggest the children are well taken care of..so this shot really makes you think about them..and their lives... as far as technical details...I think the background is to blurry.. other than that...It's great.. Nice Job.

It's a tender moment you've captured here : heart-warming. Technically I'm impressed by your handling of the highlights and field depth.
