I can't see any room for improvement. The swept hair and slightly parted lips adds a dynamic feel (both becoming and tentative) to an otherwise standard pose. The soft but detailed skin tone and the eye detail is outstanding! Best Regards, Jerry

This is a stunning photo. I've been following your work since I've joined PNET. I study photos and try to figure it out, and apply it to what I'm shooting. I'm new to fashion photography, and trying to master lighting. It looks like you have multiple sources of light. I see the shadow below her nose and then it's softened with a fill light. The main light looks like it's in front and above her. But I'm trying to figure out where you placed your fill light to soften the shadows but not completely wash them out? Is that what the bottom catch light is in her eyes?

 

Also are you able to shoot over your camera's sync speed? Does there gear that you use allow you to do that or do you just keep your shutter speed at 200 (or whatever your camera setting is suppose to be) Sometimes I struggle with sharpness, when I want to do a dramatic lighting set up, I figure if I could just put more light on my subject and then just increase my shutter speed it would produce sharper photos.

 

I finally got the guts to subscribe and upload some of my photos, I'd love it if you could have a look and offer some advice. Thanks for all the help, past and present!
