stp 6 Posted September 25, 2008 Beautiful colors in the sky and water. Consider this suggestion: the foreground is a jumbled and unattractive mess, quite in contrast to the rest of the image. Therefore, I'd crop it, perhaps including just a slice to establish the baseline, concentrating instead on the two larger rocks in the water and the smooth, blue water and colors on the horizon. This could also be presented as a horizontal with an additional crop just above the clouds. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted September 25, 2008 Stephen...thank you for your toughtful input...and yes you have a point here... and from a purely astethic point of view i agree...and i think most people would do. For me the mud makes a starting point in darkness...that goes trough the water and ends up in the light. But perhaps there are to many elements here...competing for the attention?. The question is; how much mud/FG can i crop away, before the mood change? I have taken a few shots that are in line with your suggestion.. and they have a lighter, and more "graphical" feel. Regards! jeff.grant 0 Posted September 25, 2008 I agree with Stephen. Here's how I would crop it. Link to comment
