tobiasfeltus 0 Posted October 20, 2008 I have been interested in re-representing paintings in photography for many years, mainly because of the play between the painting's inherent abstract origin juxtaposed with the photograph's inherent representational crutch. Obviously with things like this, I also ended up painting a background to recreate the feel of Lempicka's painting, and not having chamois gloves that fit the model, I painted her hands white instead. The dress was made out of a bit of green cotton, and a delightful '80s silk blouse from the charity shop. I shot this with my Leica M3 and Elmar 90/4, cross processed. Thanks for looking. t Link to comment
