Cool, i like the activity near the sleeping person. Only quibble is the person doesn't catch the eye as she might if there were more contrast.

7 out of 7 though =)

Very clever to use the reflection of a driving bus (?), it gives the picture a sort of sience fiction-like touch. The tones and the sharpness are excellent, and I also like your choise of the lens. As for the composition, I think it would have been better if you captured the complete bike on the foreground. But nice shot anyway...

I would consider burning in the young lady. She is lost in the shadows.

This is an interesting mix of architectural objects. We have the old fashioned streetlights, the very modern (stainless steel?) wall and the stark tower. What a mix.

My eye is drawn to the stone stairway due to the lighting. I think if the young lady were in the same light there would be an interesting play between her and the stairs. Thats why Im suggesting to burn in the subject. Make her more a part of the photo.

I like this photo that gives the real feeling of Singapore a mix of tradition together with advanced technology

Really a complex image, but effective. But the woman on the foreground makes the shot, as stated above, she should be brought out from the shadows; if not with PS, how about doing it in the traditional wet darkroom?

I wonder what's the reflecting surface...? Is it really a bus?

Let me explain how the photo born. I was walking with my camera (Hasselblad Arcbody, with shift and tilt movements) actually aiming for some good architecture shot. When I've seen this young guy sleeping on his cycle, he was totally in the shade and it was early morning. I set up my camera (viewing, shifting the lens in order to make the vertical lines of the building strait, inserting the magazine and finally shoot) and waited for the bus to pass by behind my subject. I was lucky to have with me such camera (if not no way to get this perspective) with a 35 mm. The photo has not been manipulated at all in PS, just few mm of cropping on the left side.

this is an awesome photo. its so confusing yet it isn't too busy. it makes you stare and stare trying to tear it apart. i think the person in the corner should remain dark. the whole thing is mysterious, and the silohetted person just adds even more drama to it. its a really cool photograph.

about the shadow may are right, but on the otherhand we have the light on the legs and face, and this gives me the idea of a early morning. The light on the legs was leading all comentators to think that it is a lady... How ever, I like the composition - for me this is a fantastic shot! Thanks for sharing!

I too agree that the person should remain dark. I don't think the picture would benefit by making the sleeper more prominent. Right now, the person is a bit of an afterthought or something you notice later and go "Oh, there's someone down there!" That makes you look longer.

Nice shot.

Congrats. Some may find this a bit dark, but it's perfect to me... I came here following the link Dennis posted in the POW, and aesthetically, I find this a lot stronger. Then, about originality, I'd say this is great as well - totally unexpected scene. So, 6/7. The 6 in aestheics being just for a minor detail: I may have prefered to include the beginning of the bike's wheel and wouldn't mind leaving out the bit of this street light at the top. Or a bit more at the top AND at the botom was possible too. But again, that's as minor as it can get imo. Brilliant work ! Cheers.

Perfetta cosi' com'e'. Complimenti, e' davvero pulita, bellissimo il contrasto fra la parte statica e quella dinamica.

I like this shot very much because it reminds me of my travels when I have been waiting wearily for a train or a bus to arrive. Footsore and half asleep, I am replaying scenes in my mind from the previous day's travel, wondering if the sound I just heard was my train pulling away, or if I am merely dreaming it.

This is a very fine image in my opinion. I think the architectural elements add a lot of context if not a specific sense of place, making it a more universal image. I would also like to have seen just a bit more of the bicycle in the foreground but I think the photograph is well composed and all the elements tie together nicely. I like the ghostly figure that appears to be looking down from the passing bus and the small details such as the aluminum can at the base of the light. The passing bus, which I would prefer to be a train for some reason, seems appropriately dreamy and compliments the sleeping subject.

I'm not always fond of giving photos titles (for a number of reasons) but this one needs a better handle for the sake of discussion. My suggestion, "Sognare il Viaggio."

An incredible image ... nothing to add ... nothing to change. The sleeping person should stay where he is -- in the shadow; when my eyes finally wondered upon his sleeping face I just sighed ... congratulations!

A remarkable image that contains an embarrassment of riches in terms of compositional elements. My only minor misgiving is that the bicycle looks a little untidy compared to the elegant formality of the rest of the scene. Capturing the passing bus was a masterstroke.

this is great. i love photographs like this, where all pictoral effects are the result of the photographer's understanding of the exposure and frame- no manipulation needed, because you nailed it. i'm really enjoying your portfolio.

This is one of the shots that somehow doesn't get as much attention as it deserves here on PN. Great composition, wonderful light, and of course the forethought to wait for the bus! Great job.
